Spring Trip - Nashville

Thanks to the booster club for organizing the trip, thanks to the coaches for giving up a weekend... to the parents that made the trip with the team and ...and thanks to the players for a great weekend of play.
We started out playing Centennial - and unfortunately we lost that game. After a quick lunch the Rams won their second game in overtime against Franklin High School. We played Ravenwood on Sunday morning... and even with a loss, this was the best game of the weekend.

Wow - it took some time for me to recoup, regroup and review....and I just watched the game. What a comeback in the second half - and a goal with 3 seconds left tied the game. Unfortunately we lost in sudden death.

What a difference a few days can make - in more ways than one. T-shirts and shorts earlier in the week... frigid weather today. FRIGID!!!

Varsity vs St. X

The game was called at the half for lightning -Lightning can suggest the emotional shock that we experience from sudden and unexpected events. Lightning can be destructive yet it can also show the illuminating brilliance of inspiration. We talk of being ‘struck’ by a great idea or insight. Lightning also reminds us of the awesome power of nature and how many of the forces that govern our lives remain beyond our control.

Sad starting what will be the last season for so many players - 19 seniors! But how exciting to see such a large group of new players - very exciting for Manual Boys Lacrosse!
